What is a  Psychologist?

Psychologists are experts in human behaviour.

Psychologists have undergone extensive training to understand factors that influence the way that people think, feel and learn. They use empirically-based strategies and interventions to help people to overcome challenges and improve their performance.

What is a Clinical Psychologist?

A Clinical Psychologist is a psychologist with the highest level of training in therapy for mental health problems.  At Changing Minds Pty Ltd we only use evidence-based therapies in which we have basic and advanced training.

Being a qualified Clinical Psychologists means that the individual has completed an Honours Degree (4 years) in Psychology and have then undergone specialist clinical training by completing a Masters (2 years full-time) degree in Clinical Psychology. The Masters of Clinical Psychology is a  programme that provides advanced training in psychological assessment and therapy skills. The course specialises in training people in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
