Fees for Service
Individual Session: The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a consultation fee of $300 per standard individual session of 45-60 minutes duration with a Clinical Psychologist. Our rates are considerably lower at $250 per session (50 minutes in duration). If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will be refunded the scheduled rebate amount of $137.05 per session.
Please note this practice does not Bulk Bill.
Other fees: Costs for other services such as psychometric assessment, reports will be provided to you as part of our information package upon booking.
Payment: This is to be made at the time of the appointment. We accept EFTPOS and credit card. Payment is also accepted by third parties (approval required). Where this is the case, fees will be billed directly to the third party involved.
Private health insurance: A proportion of the fees may be redeemable from your private health insurance, depending on your health plan. Please contact your health care provider to find out about redeemable rates.
Medicare: You may be eligible to claim a proportion of the fees from Medicare (up to 10 sessions). To do this, you need to make an appointment with your GP, who will complete an assessment as to whether you are suffering from a condition that is eligible for rebate by Medicare and provide you with a Mental Health Plan. You can then contact the psychologist directly with the referral and Mental Health Plan to discuss and make an appointment. Child and adolescent referrals can also be made by a paediatrician and/or a psychiatrist.
Changing Minds Pty Ltd is a registered provider of psychological services under Medicare.
